| Description | Homogenous light with modular LED light solutions by GALAXY profiles Homogenous light with modular LED light solutions by GALAXY profiles Intelligent product design and unique product compatibility are the basis for future-oriented LED lighting concepts. LED profile systems by GALAXY profiles are modular LED lighting solutions. The individual system components are assembled with little effort, simply and quickly using a click system and are mounted without damaging the substance. The PL8 LED INSTALLATION profile has a particularly narrow design, is designed for LED flex strips with a maximum width of 12 mm and is used universally indoors. The LED profile covers opal/satin (light transmission 65 %) or clear (light transmission 85 %) are made of shatterproof and hardly combustible polycarbonate (*classification flammability UL94 V-2) and create homogeneous LED lighting conditions with high utilisation of light output. Thanks to their small dimensions and low weight, these LED RECESSED profiles are barely visible recessed in walls and ceilings with plaster, stone or concrete panels as well as wood panelling (optionally with the additional PL10 universal cable duct). They can also be installed in pre-milled furniture. Easy and quick installation The self-adhesive LED strips are inserted into the centre of the LED profile along the groove, glued in place, wired (plastic end caps with cable feed-through available) and connected to the LED lighting and control technology (LED transformer, LED sequencer, etc.). The LED profile can be screwed or glued directly to the support object or the building structure. The corresponding LED profile covers made of polycarbonate are then clicked in flush. Recommendation: For excellent adhesion of the self-adhesive LED strips, we recommend thorough cleaning and degreasing of the profile insides with an acetone cleaner. Use in wet rooms and outdoors Use in wet rooms or outdoors is only possible in sealed form. Silicone, which is applied to the joints for sealing, offers special protection against moisture and water. Absolute waterproofing of LED profile systems is achieved by casting with Wepuran casting resin based on polyurethane resin (PUR). Important: When installing LED profile systems in wet rooms and outdoors, it is imperative to use only LED flex strips with the appropriate protection class!
