Easy and quick installation The self-adhesive LED strips are inserted into the centre of the LED profile along the groove, glued in place, wired (plastic end caps with cable feed-through available) and connected to the LED lighting and control technology (LED transformer, LED sequencer, etc.). The LED profile can be clicked directly into the mounting clips pre-installed on the support object or on the building structure.
LED batten luminaires can also be attached to smooth surfaces with adhesive tape on both sides. Finally, the corresponding LED profile covers made of polycarbonate are clicked in flush.
Recommendation: For excellent adhesion of the self-adhesive LED strips, we recommend thorough cleaning and degreasing of the profile insides with an acetone cleaner.
Use in wet rooms and outdoors Use in wet rooms or outdoors is only possible in sealed form. Silicone, which is applied to the joints for sealing, offers special protection against moisture and water. Absolute waterproofing of LED profile systems is achieved by sealing with Wepuran polyurethane resin-based sealing resin (PUR).
Important: When installing LED profile systems in wet rooms and outdoors, it is imperative to use only LED flex strips with the appropriate protection class! Linear LED outdoor luminaire systems from GALAXY profiles meet these requirements as standard. We will be happy to advise you!
Fabrication and standard special production (OEM) From a corresponding minimum order quantity, the LED profiles and plastic covers from our standard range are fabricated to measure or according to customer-specific length specifications up to a maximum of 6 m total length per LED profile. 6 m total length per LED profile system.
On request, GALAXY profiles can produce LED aluminium profiles in all RAL colours (powder coating).
